Welcome to our dojo

Founded in 1977, Aikido is practiced at the University of Ottawa. Aikidō is a modern Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba which incorporates joint-lock and throwing techniques. These techniques are applied in self-defense with the intent of not injuring or causing only minimal damage to the attacker.

Practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30am and 5:30pm in the Martial Arts Room of Montpetit Hall at the University of Ottawa.
